The Eye Safety Card has been gaining very positive feedback from colleagues who have ordered and seen the card.
One of the main themes of feedback is that it would be a very useful tool for staff training sessions covering the area of how to detect and appoint patients with significant ocular problems. It provides a very clear and visual template for this type of staff training session. This would then lead well onto to it’s everyday use which is be available as a prompt/reminder to reception staff when faced with a patient who may have significant signs or symptoms.
This type of training would be well suited to both independent or multiple practice, and would compliment any existing systems which practices may have in place.
