Welcome to this online tutorial offering an overview of acute and emergency eye conditions. This is a small group, interactive tutorial for all optometrists, reviewing the main groups of eye emergencies. It will discuss the key signs and symptoms, offer clinical pearls to aid detection an discuss how we deal with these conditions when we encounter them. There will be various points throughout this tutorial where the group can discuss the conditions in order to make it truely interactive and to get the most out of it.

Being the first port of call for acute and emergency conditions is becoming more common-place for optometry practice, and particulalry during this period with Covid-19, a lot of practices might still be just working on en emergency and essential basis, so this topic is incredibly relevant.

This tutorial will be run through Cisco Webex online meeting software, and details will be sent out prior to the event. Best to join using a laptop or iPad in order to follow the presented slides and images.
