Welcome to this online tutorial on current glaucoma medications, their uses and their possible adverse side effects. This tutorial will be useful for anyone currently revising for their College of Optometrists Common Final Assessment for Independent Prescribing.

This will cover:

  • The main groups of glaucoma medications currently in use and an overview of how they work
  • Some of the underlying strategy when treating glaucoma
  • The most common possible side effects that can develop with each group of medications
  • Consideration of preserved preparations versus non-preserved

As well as helping with revision for the final IP exam, it is also intended to consolidate your working knowledge of these medications helping you to prescribe in a way which is effective and as safe as possible.

This is delivered via Cisco Webex, with an invitation and final information sent the week prior to the tutorial.
