This informal and interactive teaching event will give lecture based teaching for practice support staff to increase their awareness of red-flag signs and symptoms patients may present with in urgent conditions. It will also cover how to gather accurate triage information to support their optometrist. The second part of the evening will include a discussion workshop which will encourage delegates to work through some patient scenarios and consider how they would respond in practice.

Each delegate will receive an Eye Emergency Resource Pack to support their ongoing learning in this whole area of their work. All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance for their portfolio and any registered Dispensing Opticians or Optometrists  will get 4 interactive CET points.
